I was watching the documentary on Lemmy the other night (I am a big motorhead fan along with the early 80's metal scene and before (sabbath) - Dio, Maiden, Priest and such. Not a big fan of what it was made into in the later 80's) He did a version of Big River, which I believe was a Mearle Haggard song although not sure about that. It was pretty cool hearing that from him. He also did a cover of run rudolph with Dave Groel from Foo Fighters. It was interesting listening to Lemmy recall his early influences of Little Richard, Elvis and then later the Beatles. For anyone interested it was a pretty cool documentary on a guy who truly lives the lifestyle, still has his small apt in LA and hangs at the Rainbow room playing trivia most nights but makes time for all his fans and such. It was worth the 2 hours and I liked the cross references of Big River and Rudolph (Dec 71, don't think the dead did it any other time) just a different post from all the other stuff on here lately and maybe starts a good conversation!

Big River is Johnny Cash, Mama Tried is Merl.
Love Moterhead. It was a band that HEAVY metal fans , hard core punks, bikers , and F'up freaks all sort liked . Not to be for gotten , is Lemmy's tenure as bass player in the "retard prog" band Halkwind ! "Space Ritual" rules !

Damn, beat me to it!

Just like Chuck Norris' beard has power beyond those of mortal men, Lemmy's mole is a world super power unto itself.

He actually did a whole albums worth of old country tunes and I actualy have it somewhere. I just labelled it Lemme and Dudes.I failed to document who was on it with him, I just burned the disc from someone.
